Jena Night of Sports 2026 Nominations Now Open
Jena, Germany – October 1, 2025 – Nominations are officially open for the Jena Night of Sports 2026, recognizing outstanding achievements in the cityS sporting community throughout 2025. Athletes, teams, exercise managers, and dedicated volunteers are eligible for consideration, wiht submissions accepted online until November 9, 2025.
The annual gala, scheduled for March 28, 2026, at the Sparkassen-Arena, will honor recipients in categories including Young Athlete of 2025, Athlete of 2025, Team of 2025, and Exercise Manager of 2025.This year marks the inaugural presentation of a special prize recognizing commitment too diversity and participation in sports, largely supported by Jüttner Orthopedics KG. The event also celebrates the vital contributions of volunteers within Jena Sport.
“The Jena Night of Sport is a stage for all those who shape our city in terms of sport and inspire with passion, fairness and commitment,” stated Thomas Fritsche, deputy chairman of the Stadtsportbund Jena EV. Johannes Schleussner, department for education, youth, culture and sport, added, “every honor at the night of sport stands for a personal story of commitment, passion and team spirit…The Jena Night of Sport is a strong sign – for all those who have sport in our city, shape and fill with life.”
