Jeep removes Bruce Springsteen commercial for detention | NOW

Car brand Jeep has removed a commercial with Bruce Springsteen, after it was announced on Wednesday that the singer had been arrested in November 2020 for drunk driving, speeding and drinking alcohol off-limits. It’s about the brand’s Super Bowl commercial, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Springsteen was featured in a Jeep ad during the Super Bowl hiatus last Sunday, calling on Americans to get closer together.

Spokespersons for the car brand did not want to elaborate on their decision, although they did say “it would be inappropriate to broadcast the ad until there is more clarity.”

The 71-year-old musician was turned down on November 14 arrested in a conservation area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. He did cooperate normally during his arrest. It was the first time that Springsteen has been arrested for drunk driving. He will soon have to answer to the judge.

The commercial can still be seen on Springsteens Instagram.
