Javanese singer Robby Soekatma passed away

The Javanese music world has lost another icon. In the early morning of October 17, the sad news came that Robby Sukatma has passed away. Radio Bangsa Jawa Amsterdam reports this this morning.

The editors of Waterkant.Net learn that the singer passed away at home in Koewarasan (Suriname) last night around 3 a.m. Sukatma had liver disease and was 55 years old.

“The well-known singer / songwriter who is also known as ‘The man with the golden voice’ managed to conquer many hearts with his sweet-voiced voice. He was very successful in both the Netherlands and Suriname, with hits such as Percoyo, Bribi mi, Boeng libi, Lieveling and many more ”, the radio station writes on Facebook.
