TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan and the United States will cooperate closely if Russia invades Ukraine, a Japanese government spokesman said on Wednesday.
The major Western powers fear a new offensive by Russia, which annexed the Crimean peninsula in 2014 and has massed tens of thousands of soldiers on the Ukrainian border in recent months.
