Jan Smit replaces Lil ‘Kleine in The voice of Holland

After two high-profile seasons, rapper Lil ‘Kleine calls it quits and stops Voice-adventure. Fortunately, a worthy replacement has been found in the Volendam singer Jan Smit. It will be his first big job since the Eurovision Song Contest and his severe burnout.

“I have great news because I am the new coach of it The Voice of Holland. When they asked me, I said wholeheartedly: yes. I think and hope that with my experience I can offer and support both talents and artists who have been on the road for some time “, the singer tells RTL Boulevard. In addition to Jan Smit, Ali B, Anouk and Waylon will also return. can be seen in The voice of Holland.

Peter van der Vorst says in the press release that he chose Jan because ‘he has more than earned his spurs in the music industry’ and because he represents a genre that was still lacking in The voice of Holland. “Jan has had countless (self-written) hits in his career and knows better than anyone what the pitfalls are for a starting artist. His broad knowledge and experience make him a ‘formidable opponent’ of the other coaches”, says Peter.

After the last season a real musical chair has arisen. Marco Borsato and Anouk will no longer be seen as coaches in the children’s version of The Voice, but instead MC Snelle and Ilse DeLange will coach the kids. Also with The Voice Senior a new coach has been hired. None other than Gerard Joling will share his expertise with the talents and replaces Marco Borsato. The last season was controversial for several reasons, you can see all about it below.

The eleventh season of The voice of Holland can be seen this fall on RTL 4
