The State pays 2.80% interest on your money: how interesting is a government account?
Those who can spare their savings for at least a year can put them on an e-DEPO with the Deposit and Consignment Office of the Belgian State. The proceeds are recorded month by month. For January it was 2.40%, for February the interest rate rises to 2.80%. Please note: your money must be in the account before the first of the month to be entitled to interest that month.
