JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – 105 days before the 2022 Jakarta E-Prix, the construction of the circuit in Ancol, North Jakarta, is still being pursued by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).
Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of PT Jakpro Nadia Diposanjoyo said PT Jakpro would convey the progress of the circuit construction Formula E on Wednesday (23/2/2022).
“The progress will beupdate together (via) the media (Wednesday) next week, yes,” said Nadia when contacted via short message, Friday (18/2/2022).
Managing Director Formula E Jakarta Mount Kartiko says, Formula E . circuit will be built using asphalt road.
Gunung said the electric car racing circuit does not require different special asphalt specifications like the Mandalika circuit.
“Formula E is typical of road racing, so the track is city track. The asphalt is actually asphalt on the road,” said Gunung at the DKI DPRD office, Wednesday (16/2/2022).

Therefore, Gunung ensures that the circuit, which is called the Jakarta E-Prix International Circuit (JIEC) can be completed on time and can meet Formula E Operation (FEO) standards.
FEO itself, said Gunung, has seen firsthand the quality of the materials and the construction of the current circuit.
“The FEO team came to Jakarta on February 1 yesterday, they saw what the quality of the rock was like, what the asphalt was like,” said Gunung.
The circuit, which was built on the effluent from the MRT project, is planned to be completed within three months and is ready to be tested in May 2022.
