A spark has passed between Jaimie Vaes and DJ and fashion designer Afshin Momadi. “I like him very much,” she replied on Saturday when asked RTL Boulevard whether she is in love.
“We have known each other for a long time, about twelve years. He is a very good friend of mine. I did not need a relationship, but it turned out that way,” said Lil Kleine’s ex-fiancée.
“If your partner is also your best friend, you feel so at ease,” Vaes continued about Momadi. “And I now have that with him. He has been there in many phases of my life. The nice and also the less nice things. So for now he complements me very well.”
Momadi lives in Berlin, Barcelona and Ibiza. He is a DJ at the collective IAM, among other things. He is also the co-founder of clothing brand 9N1M SENSE.
Research into Lil Kleine is still ongoing
The relationship between Vaes and Lil Kleine, which she was with until the beginning of this year, broke down when images surfaced showing the rapper clamping her head between a car door. Shortly afterwards, Vaes broke up with Jorik Scholten, as the artist is called. The two have a three-year-old son, Lío, together. Vaes takes care of him alone these days.
Shortly after the images appeared, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) started an investigation into Scholten. The Public Prosecution Service then announced that it suspected the rapper of attempting aggravated assault on his fiancée. The investigation is still ongoing.
Just before the incident, Lil Kleine was sentenced to 120 hours of community service for assaulting a man in a nightclub in Amsterdam. Vaes announced in an interview on television at the beginning of April that she had filed a complaint against her ex.
