Jack Miller admitted stress being followed by Marc Marquez for 21 laps in the race Spanish MotoGP 2022Sunday (1/5).
Miller was involved in a fierce battle with Marquez and Aleix Espargaro throughout the race which took place at the Jerez Circuit.
Miller was in third position and was able to hold off Marquez and Espargaro who trailed behind him. However, fierce competition occurred in the last five laps.
The three drivers overtook each other until Espargaro finally managed to finish third. While the first and second positions went to Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo.
Espargaro managed to take advantage of Miller and Marquez’s fierce duel which led to a fatal error. The Miller vs Marquez duel actually opened a gap for Espargaro to shoot and finish third.
Marquez himself finished fourth beating Miller who had to settle for being one level behind him.
“He had something more than me but couldn’t get past me. Then Aleix managed to capitalize on our mistakes,” Miller was quoted as saying GPOne.
“I didn’t expect Marquez to pass me on the last lap and when that happened I tried to respond as best as possible. Let’s just say 21 laps trying to hold Marquez behind is quite stressful,” continued Miller.
