What is the highlight of your career that has become an unforgettable memory?

There are many, but perhaps the most emotionally saturated experience was one of the first performances at the “Tomorrowland” festival. I had not yet ranked in the DJ TOP 100, so I had to perform as one of the first. It was raining, the weather was terrible, it was Sunday. I’m late because of traffic. When I arrived, it was literally 5 minutes before my start. The mood was not the best. However, I saw that around 500-600 people were waiting for me with flags and posters. I started playing, and after 3 minutes the square was already filled with about four thousand listeners. It was very emotional – despite the wind and rain, people jumped and sang along. It was one of the best lessons I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Is that satisfying feeling of crowd control?

I wouldn’t call it control. It’s a great feeling when you connect with your audience. For the first 15-20 minutes, I try to feel the audience, catch one wave, and then it’s more like connecting or merging with the audience.

After concerts, you sign autographs. But what are the most original gifts you have received from fans?

In Asia, people come to concerts with self-made flags with my logo embroidered on them. This is amazing, I have received such flags as gifts. Also paintings.

But once a guy had tattooed my pseudonym Plastik Funk on his arm. It was a very big surprise.

Speaking of “UNREAL festival Mežaparks”, can we expect any surprises?

Yes, certainly. I plan to release four new singles in May. “UNREAL festival” will be one of the first places where you can hear them. I will probably prepare something special for Riga.

Who are your musical idols? Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

I definitely appreciate Pharrell Williams (Pharrell Williams), he is a very versatile artist and an interesting personality. Also the Weeknd, who is currently at the peak of his musical career.
