As stars24.cz has already informed, bandleader, guitarist and singer František Prošek died at the age of 79. Singer Ivan Mládek, who shared sad information with the fans, recalled how Prošek was a guest in his band.
Mládek confided on the social network that he had never known such a pilgrimage to the music world as such a modest, reliable and, above all, eternally optimistic musician.
“Even though Franta had his established concept, he allowed me to deviate a bit at concerts and test his first Dadaist entertaining lyrics and songs,” Mládek recalls.
Among other things, Prošek was a guest in Mládek’s band. “When I later founded the Banjo Band, František Prošek became a member of his first formation for a time and also contributed to our repertoire with some of his song lyrics, which we still perform today, such as the song Když je v Praze hic,” the musician describes.
“I was glad when Franta returned to the Banjo Band a few years ago, it’s a pity that he gave us a final parachute so soon and unexpectedly. We will miss him significantly,” he added.
