IUP Women’s Volleyball vs. Central State – September 12, 2025

ASHLAND, Ohio – The IUP women’s volleyball team ​secured two decisive victories ‌Saturday, sweeping both Ursuline and West Liberty to conclude competition at the⁢ Ashland Tournament and improve to a 3-1 season record. These are the Hawks’ frist straight-set wins of the 2025 fall season.

The Crimson Hawks demonstrated dominant⁤ form against ursuline, winning 25-11 and ​25-10 ⁣in the⁣ first two sets. IUP’s offensive versatility ⁤was on full display, with nine different players contributing⁢ kills-six of whom registered multiple. The team’s strong defensive ​presence resulted in 13 total blocks,12 of which were block assists. Ellie Rauch orchestrated⁢ the offense with 14 assists.

The match ​against west Liberty proved slightly more competitive,with IUP prevailing in⁤ sets decided by a narrow margin. ⁣Jessica Neiman led the Hawks’ attack with 13 kills, supported by double-digit kill‍ performances from teammates.‌ Rauch​ continued ​her consistent playmaking, ⁣delivering 32 assists-her fourth consecutive match leading in that category. Brooke Kessler anchored the​ back row with 16 digs, combining ​with ‍Rauch for 26 of the team’s 41 total digs.

IUP will⁢ next compete in the Walsh Tournament on September 12 and 13,facing three opponents in Canton,Ohio,including Central State on Friday at 2 PM.
