Mass death Sparrow in Gianyar Regency, Bali, is still a mystery. But death is certain sparrows It’s not a virus or bacteria.

The mass death of this bird shocked the public after a video showing a number of sparrows falling from the top of a tree went viral on social media.

The video was recorded by Kadek Sutika at around 08.00 WITA. After recording the video, he immediately uploaded it to Facebook and it went viral a few minutes later.

“Yes, at first I recorded it, after that I immediately uploaded it on FB. It was a little over 8 o’clock (it was already viral). It wasn’t until half past nine, it felt like a quarter past 8 it was already viral,” said Sutika when contacted detik.com, Thursday (9/9) night.

The Gianyar Regency Government immediately intervened. They brought samples of the fallen birds for laboratory testing.

What is the result?

Laboratory tests showed that the birds were not exposed to infectious diseases.

“The death of the birds did not lead to infectious diseases. That’s the result,” said Head of the Animal Health Division of the Gianyar Regency Agriculture and Livestock Service, Made Santiarka.

He admitted that he got the lab test results from the Denpasar Veterinary Center (BBVet) on Thursday (16/9). Santiarka explained that infectious diseases can be caused by micro-organisms in the form of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
