Relationship Neymar with Barcelona not yet harmonious Neymar is now suing Barcelona, after being asked to return the overpaid tax money.
Interim management Barcelona currently focused on auditing club finances. One of the results of the audit was that it was discovered that Barcelona had overpaid when paying Neymar.
When Neymar strengthened Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, the Brazilian player’s tax calculation, which was issued by the Blaugrana, was wrong and the nominal amount reached 10 million euros or around Rp. 166 billion.
This amount is certainly very large for Barcelona. Moreover, this Spanish club is in a condition of being short of money and has cut player salaries.
Not accepting this, Neymar then made a counter-claim against Barcelona. Reporting from Football Espana, Neymar wants the high court to order Barcelona to pay 43.65 million euros (IDR 727.69 billion).
The money was a bonus for Neymar’s contract renewal with Barcelona, but afterwards he went to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) which paid for his release clause. Well, it was because of Neymar’s departure that Barcelona did not provide the bonus that had been promised in the new contract.
The problem with Neymar’s demands is actually a continuation of the last June case. At that time, Barcelona won the case in court regarding Neymar’s contract dispute.
A court in Barcelona ordered Neymar to pay 6.7 million euros to him Barca. However, the lawyer representing Neymar has appealed the sentence handed down last June.
In addition, Neymar also reportedly owes 34 million euros (IDR 565 billion) in taxes to Spain. The Spanish Ministry of Finance has published debt Neymar on December 31, 2019, then it was revealed again on September 30, 2020.
