That’s it, it’s official: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their little Archie will not spend the end of the year holidays with Queen Elizabeth II but in Los Angeles.
Speculation was rife. And for good reason: after a last royal engagement for the Weekend of Remembrance, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have decided to take a vacation. It is indeed at Doria Ragland, the mother of the Duchess of Sussex, that the couple has chosen to put their bags for six weeks, in the United States. Something to suggest that he will spend the end of the year holidays there, with their little Archie. Well it’s confirmed!
According to the newspaper The Sun, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have indeed confirmed their choice not to spend Christmas in the company of Queen Elizabeth II, as tradition dictates. And the latter would agree. “This decision is in line with those taken previously by other members of the Royal Family and enjoys the support of Her Majesty The Queen.” explained a spokesperson for the palace. No more doubts: the family will be in Los Angeles for the 2019 end of year celebrations.
For their part, Kate and William will spend Christmas in Sandrigham, in the house paying homage to George VI. Last year, they also made the choice to spend the holidays with Kate Middleton’s family. According to a relative of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the couple need “recharge your batteries” during his well-deserved vacation.
