Almost 3,500 employees of the ČSM Sever and ČSM Jih karviná mines underwent coronavirus testing from Friday to Monday. At least 17 percent had a positive test. Their relatives are also infected. The governor does not like the indiscipline of miners and non-compliance with the orders of epidemiologists.
“If area testing is ordered at two OKD plants and a third of miners do not show up at all, even though 25 percent of their colleagues are positive, and continue to go to pubs and elsewhere among people, what would the apartment call it?” Vondrák asked on Facebook.
His words angered the representatives of the association of mining unions.
Surprisingly, all the above did not mind that from the beginning of the pandemic, the miners had to continue working and work in the mine together in cages, showered together in the showers, changed in the locker rooms together, had lunch together in the dining rooms, went to work together in buses. And all this without the possibility of spacing or without the possibility of actively using best practices. According to TV Nova, they had no choice but to lose their jobs.
In the Darkov mine, comprehensive testing has already taken place and the situation seems to be calming down there, but testing at the ČSM Sever and Jih mines has pointed to new possible outbreaks of the disease. Even in the ČSA Mine, hygienists had 50 samples taken; on the basis of their evaluation, they could also be tested there by the area PCR method.
