La Veneto was hit by a violent storm which particularly affected the provinces of Verona, Vicenza and Padua, reports the Italian daily The Republic.
In Verona, some streets were covered with a white coat and flooded. In some areas the water exceeded one and a half meters. At least 500 trees have been cut down, according to firefighters who have received hundreds of calls: “No one was injured, we can speak of a miracle.”
