It will take two months for the numbers of covid cases to be acceptable, says Prymula. It plans measures to limit collection

“By the measures we have taken, we are able to bring the reproduction number somewhere to 1.2. But we need to get him under one, “said Prymula. Now the reproductive number, which indicates how many people are infected by one person with the infection, is 1.4. A reproduction number below one means that the number of infected will decrease.

Prymula recalled that some countries, such as Britain, are only allowed to gather to six people. According to him, there are similar numbers in other countries. According to him, the number of people in the Czech Republic will be limited during leisure activities or activities that are not essential.

It does not plan measures affecting the economy. “If we closed the restaurants, the same activities would move to households, which would be even worse, because there would be no restrictions at all,” he added.

The ministry has already ordered restaurants and bars to be closed between 22:00 and 06:00 and to limit the number of guests to the number of seats. The extraordinary measure is still valid until October 7. The resort justifies this by saying that people in them are more in contact under the influence of alcohol and do not keep their distance.

For example, in the Prague company Zlý časy, they estimate that their sales will fall by 20 to 30 percent. At the same time, they are already about half the size of last September. “We hope that, for example, November and December will be a little better, December is always such a delight for us, because there are Christmas parties,” said tap tap Kateřina Knapová

Compliance with regulations

Roman Prymula also stated on Friday that the police are interested in one of the Prague clubs. From Monday, a film was to be shot there every night, where people were to play visitors. “I take it almost as a mockery of the measures, because to return the club all night as if it were open with consumption, dancing and the like, that’s undesirable,” Prymula said. Subsequently, the club informed on social networks about the postponement of the event.

In some places in the country, random inspections of compliance with the measures took place on Thursday evening. For example, in České Budějovice they did not find any violations. In Ostrava, they will focus on them over the weekend. “We will cooperate with the Police of the Czech Republic and increase the performance of the service on Stodolní Street, but also in other parts of the city,” said Jindřich Machů, a spokesman for the Ostrava Municipal Police.

Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) also hopes that no further economic measures will be introduced. It does not expect the state to compensate the measure for entrepreneurs who now have to have limited traffic. “We haven’t talked about it at the moment, it’s a 14-day measure, so let’s hope it doesn’t last longer,” Babiš told Czech Television.

According to Prymula, the ministry will not issue new emergency measures every day or two, but at greater intervals. According to him, it takes time to find out whether the epidemic has affected the development. In addition, he wants to discuss them in advance with the ministers and the leadership of Prague.

However, despite the planned tightening of measures, Prymula said that the increase in the number of new cases of covid-19 from last week, which was exponential, has now slowed down. However, according to the head of the department, it will take another two months for the numbers of covid cases to be acceptable. The period of increase and decline will end in mid-2021, he said.

Friday’s director’s leave

Some students did not have to go to school on Friday at the invitation of the Minister of Health. According to the Association of Elementary School Principals, however, only about 15 percent of establishments have taken time off. But Roman Prymula thinks that even one day would play a role in the current situation and that it is a pity how few schools have heard the challenge.

For example, in the Klegov primary school in Ostrava-Hrabůvka, they do not want to lose a single day of teaching. “We do not know what the situation will look like when the schools are definitively closed and we have to go to distance learning,” says director Aleš Vodička.

This is welcomed at the Ohradní volno primary school in Prague. They have had at least one quarantined class here for more than two weeks. “Even though the first grade veils are not worn in class, we sent at least 10 to 15 students home every day with some health problems,” described the director Eva Smažíková. On Friday, they only opened a party here. Of the two hundred children enrolled in it, ten came.

The question of who will take care of the children, but the parents, does not solve only in the case of director’s leave. There are also more schools that are closed due to coronavirus infection. There are now more than seventy of them across the Czech Republic.

Uncertainty in this regard is felt by the parents of the children. While in the spring they paid for nursing special conditions, now it lasts nine days. The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs wants to extend the benefit for the entire period of quarantine or distance learning. And also increase the age of children from ten to thirteen years. Even on Friday, however, the government did not reach an agreement.

“We cannot leave our parents without an income. What should they do if the school is closed or if their child cannot go to school due to quarantine or illness, and the nine-day nursing care is already exhausted? ”Commented the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Jana Maláčová (ČSSD).

According to Finance Minister Alena Schillerová (for YES), such a change is not yet on the table. “We can’t jeopardize the hospitals, the companies they have to produce,” she said. He also argues that the general closure of schools has not yet taken place

The traffic light is orange, Prague remains red

Most of the districts on the map evaluating regions according to the risk of infection are orange, which indicates the second degree of danger. Prague remained red, ie the most risky, about 20 districts are green in the first instance. When presenting the updated version of the traffic light, the Minister of Health reiterated that if the map turned to one color, it would be pointless to publish it further.

In Prague, the disease is spreading in the community in many cases and it is not possible to trace a specific source, said Prymula. “In Prague, we are trying to restart the system so that we are adequately able to cut contacts to a much greater extent than in recent weeks, when the delay was relatively high,” he said. According to him, the number of people in call centers is increasing, out of the current 600 people, 850 people should soon be involved in tracing in Prague. According to Prymula, this number is not final either.
