YANGON, iNews.id – Citizen Myanmar has a unique way of countering security forces regarding protests against a coup military. They display clothes girls by drying it on the streets to ward off troops.
Wear the underside of women, such as underwear as well year (longyi), dried across the street. This is related to the old belief held by Myanmar people about the power of women’s clothing that can defeat men.
According to an old belief in Myanmar, women’s undershirts can drain a man’s energy, known as the ‘hpone’.
“If they are under longyi, that means their cellphone can be destroyed,” said activist, Thinzar Shunlei Yi, quoted from The Star, Sunday (7/3/2021).
This method is very effective, soldiers do not want to approach women’s clothes that are displayed on the streets for fear of losing their strength.
“When people hang longyis on ropes, (police and soldiers) cannot take to the streets. They can’t cross it and have to put it down, ”said Thinzar.
