One of the really big new productions that had to be postponed is Meredith Wilson’s „The Music Man“: mit Hugh Jackman and Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in the leading roles. “The Music Man” should have premiered next week in the “Winter Garden Theater”. Now the musical, which was a hit on Broadway in the 1950s, cannot be performed until winter 2021. Also the Michael Jackson musical “MJ” with Ephraim Sykes as Jackson cannot celebrate its world premiere until September 2021. But you don’t get discouraged on Broadway. Charlotte St. Martin points the way: “We work tirelessly with many partners to support the industry when our curtains go up again.” After all, the annual contribution that the Broadway shows in New York make is 14, $ 8 billion. The lights will be on again on Broadway too.
