Tvarit from Frankfurt am Main, founded in 2019 by Suhas Patel and Rahul Prajapat, develops AI solutions for the manufacturing industry. “Production waste is one of the biggest problems in the metalworking industry. Tvarit develops digital assistants that reduce waste, energy consumption and machine downtime in factories,” explains founder Patel the concept behind Tvarit.

Matterwave Ventures, Futury Capital and BMH recently invested 2.8 million euros in the company, which currently employs 40 people. “Matterwave Ventures has always been on our top list. We asked our existing investor, Futury Capital, to help us with the initial contact,” explains the Tvarit founder. In an interview with deutsche-startups.de, Patel presents his company in detail.

How would you explain Tvarit to your grandmother?
Production waste is one of the biggest problems in the metalworking industry. Tvarit develops digital assistants that reduce waste, energy consumption and machine downtime in factories. Our digital assistants provide not only predictive analytics, but also recommendations so production engineers can take proactive measures before a failure occurs.

What have been the biggest challenges you have had to overcome so far?
Tvarit is a deep tech company and has developed technology with more than 160 algorithmic modules that help the manufacturing industry reduce waste and energy bills. The manufacturing industry has long traditions and it was very difficult to explain the algorithmic modules and the technology. Gradually we changed our approach and developed products for the die casting industry. We have customized our products to better meet the needs of production engineers. Now, with our focused approach, we serve customers across the world in the die casting industry.

You just managed to collect 2.8 million euros. How did you get in touch with your investors?
When we decided on the investment round, we had shortlisted 3 top investors from the B2B industrial technology industry. Matterwave Ventures has always been on our top list. We asked our existing investor, Futury Capital, to help us with the initial contact. Robert Gallenberger and Victor Szabo were keen to learn more about Tvarit before making a decision to invest.

What general tip would you give other founders?
Startup represents a disruption in a very specific industry and it is very important for founders to focus on a niche to make a big impact.

Where will Tvarit be in a year?
Our focus for the next year is to further develop our technology and increase our market share in the die casting industry. We are aiming for triple sales growth with a double team compared to last year.
