The lottery has revealed that Latvia will perform in the first part of the first semifinals at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Italy. Representatives of two neighboring countries – Russia and Lithuania – will also perform together with Latvia in this semi-final.
The specific order of the contestants will be drawn later.
In the first semifinals, which will take place on Tuesday, 10 May, will feature:

Latvia’s fourth neighbor, Belarus, has been excluded from the Eurovision Song Contest. The European Broadcasting Union has explained that a number of core values that are important to the organization have not been respected in the official media in Belarus.
Belarus did not participate in the competition last year.

The “Supernova” semi-final will be shown on February 5 at 21.05.
The entry of the songs and performers into the semifinals of “Supernova 2022” was determined by the jury selected by LTV. The aim of the competition “Supernova” is to find a piece by a brilliant artist and popular music who will represent Latvia in the large-scale Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy (semi-finals will take place on May 10 and 12, final – on May 14).
