Arsenal have reportedly identified Isco as their main target ahead of the January transfer window – although he apparently has a soft spot for rivals Chelsea.
The Spain playmaker has been out of favor at Real Madrid with the PA reporting that the Gunners are looking to offer him an escape with a loan until the end of the season.
Mikel Arteta is keen to add a first-class playmaker to his struggling squad after freezing Mesut Ozil and a temporary move for Isco could be the answer.
However, Zinedine Zidane might not let him go, while Isco himself would prefer to stay in La Liga with Sevilla keen to strike a deal, reports from Spain show.
Comments made in an interview last year indicated that Isco had a desire to play in London – but not the Emirates.
Asked by Soccer Bible which stadium he would like to play in and which he hasn’t already, Isco replied, “Stamford Bridge”.
Isco has not played against Chelsea or Arsenal in his career with Los Blancos.
A loan transfer to Arsenal could give him the chance to finally play at Stamford Bridge with the clubs due to play in West London on May 12.
