Argentine star Lionel Messi threatens to be quarantined for two weeks because of joining his national team, Argentina.
Lionel Scalloni, coach of the Argentine national team, announced the Tango list for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in 2022 in Qatar, for the South American continent, and witnessed the presence of Lionel Messi.
According to the newspaper “Sport” close to Barcelona, Messi will be isolated for two weeks for health to undergo tests, if he travels to his country at the end of the month to play the qualifying matches.
The Argentine Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matthias Lamitz, said in statements to the sports channel, “TYC”, that any Argentine returning to the country should be isolated.
He said: “Any soccer player or any person who comes from these countries, is isolated in quarantine for 14 days, and this also applies to those who will come from those European countries.”
“Anyone who does not adhere to quarantine will commit a crime against public health and may be subject to legal prosecution,” Lamines said.
Argentina faces Ecuador March 27, and will visit Bolivia March 31, in the first two rounds of the South American qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
