Is Kadabra back in the Pokémon TCG? Uri Geller finally allows it!

Did you know that Kadabra hasn’t appeared in the Pokémon TCG for about 17 years? If the answer is no, know that the “fault” lies with Uri Geller, and a lawsuit against Nintendo that began a long time ago.

For those not familiar with him, Uri Geller is an Israeli illusionist who has always claimed to have psychic powers.

In November 2000, Geller tried to sue Nintendo for the very existence of Kadabra, whose Japanese name is very similar to the Japanese translation of the man’s name.

Given the similarity both in the name and “in the use of powers”, here is that Uri thought it well to send Nintendo to court, but the thing was not very successful. Despite this, Kadabra never appeared in Pokémon cards again, probably to avoid other problems of this type.

Well, today we can say that the matter is finally over. Uri Geller, through his Twitter profile, announced that he has withdrawn the lawsuit against Nintendo, apologizing to fans (small and large) for what he caused, pointing out that now Nintendo can return “his” card. Kadabra.

That Uri Geller evolved into Alakazam and didn’t tell anyone? Who knows, in the meantime, we would like to say that for poor Kadabra a new life could begin in the Pokémon cards.
