Jakarta

In addition to the highlights of the men’s singles minor results, Taufik Hidayat also critique the coach’s performance. Irwansyah not hurt.

The 2004 Olympic gold medalist in Athens even joked that there were no good men’s singles coaches in Indonesia during a live Tiktok with Malaysian badminton legend, Lee Chong Wei, recently.

Initially, Lee Chong Wei asked Taufik Hidayat is there any desire for him to become a coach in Malaysia?

“I can’t come there, people will be angry, Datuk Lee should have come first to be a coach there and then I will come,” Taufik answered.

“If you come to Malaysia, I go to Indonesia?” Chong Wei replied.

“Swap. You can train (Anthony) Ginting, Jonatan (Christie), with the others. In Indonesia now there is no good menses single coach. Can you come here?” said Taufik then.

“Let’s swap. We have a good coach here. We have Hendrawan,” Lee Chong Wei replied.

For the record, the main men’s singles are currently architected Irwansyah. He automatically became the men’s singles coach after Hendry Saputra, the previous head coach of Pelatnas, was not extended by PBSI. He was removed after seven years in that position.

“It’s okay. So if you say you are hurt, don’t you? No. Just imagine that wanting to train is not as easy as people think. Even though the players are top, great, they can’t train well. Anyway, it’s not easy to train,” said Irwansyah to detikSport, Saturday (25/6)

“So if there are those who think they might be joking, yes, but they’re serious. Especially when they’re joking about the men’s singles, it’s okay, there’s no problem. That’s their opinion.”

“But it’s all up to PBSI. If I’m still here 100 percent to help the men’s singles improve them. So that’s all from PBSI, whoever is chosen must work hard to improve them and I’m ready,” he said.

Until now, PBSI there has also been no announcement regarding the addition of a new coach, at least to accompany Irwansyah as the men’s singles coach which contains nine main players.

“That’s why it all depends on how PBSI is. It’s definitely good to be both. If you can, it’s both (training). But if I’m still ready, because I train outside, I’m also training in men’s, women’s, junior, senior’s singles, so indeed we can It’s just that it’s better to train with him. There is another coach,” he said.

“I don’t know what the PBSI’s decision will be. Between the assistant or the head coach, I don’t know,” said Irwansyah when asked if there had been a request to add a coach.

“Yes, of course PBSI already knows. Only in my opinion it should be done as soon as possible. You want to work more optimally. Yes, sooner is better for me.”

“But in the meantime, even though I’m still working as much as possible to advance them (the men’s singles players) morning, afternoon, evening, night too,” said Irwansyah.
