CELTIC FC HAVE CONFIRMED that Republic of Ireland international duo Tyler Toland and Izzy Atkinson have left the club.
The Hoops announced the news on social media this morning, adding, “Thank you for everything last season Ty, and all the best for the future” and “Thank you for all your hard work on Hoops Iz, and especially *that* meta. .”
Atkinson, 20, scored the winner in extra time as Celtic beat Glasgow City in the Scottish Women’s Cup final in May.
The Dubliner joined from Shelbourne in February 2021.

The 20-year-old Toland starts as a double cup winner and also helped the club win the 2021 Scottish Premier League Cup.

The midfielder from Donegal signed in July 2021, following her departure from Manchester City.
Both Irish internationals played regularly for Fran Alonso’s team, perhaps more often from the bench.

Toland made her senior international debut aged 16, but has been omitted from the Ireland squad since November 2019 due to a dispute with manager Vera Pauw. Atkinson is a regular inclusion.

Meanwhile, Ruesha Littlejohn has signed a new one-year contract with Aston Villa of the Women’s Super League.
The widely traveled Irish midfielder joined the club ahead of the 2021/22 season and made 20 appearances for Claret and Blue.
“I am delighted to extend my stay at Aston Villa,” said Littlejohn, 32. “It is a club with a vision and a bright future. I am delighted to be able to be part of the plans in the future.”
