Ballymaguire Foods, a key supplier, has issued a public apology and detailed its response to the situation, which involves a thorough facility clean-down and consultation with regulatory bodies before resuming production.

The company stated that its internal review has led to the implementation of immediate corrective measures, including a thorough pharmaceutical-grade sanitization of its production facility. Ballymaguire Foods emphasized its commitment to resuming operations onyl after receiving confirmation of safety from relevant authorities and its clients.

The recall encompasses a variety of popular ready meals and side dishes. Affected main courses include chicken curries, lasagnes, bolognaises, pasta bakes, cottage pies, and chow meins. Additionally, side dishes such as ready-made mashed potatoes, carrots and peas, green cabbage, and pilau rice are part of the recall.

Products from Tesco under the Meals made Easy, Irish Classics, and Finest brands are included. SuperValu and Centra customers will find affected items from The Happy Pear, Food to Go, Clean Cut, Fuel’d Foods, and Kitchen brands. SuperValu’s signature Taste, SuperValu, and Freshly Prepared ranges, as well as Centra’s Centra and Freshly Prepared ranges, are also impacted.Aldi’s Inspired Cuisine and Specially Selected ranges,along with products from the From the Farm and Good Food Locally Sourced brands sold at various retailers,are also subject to the recall.
