Iranian ship was blown up in the Red Sea – a land mine was laid on board

It is noted that the explosion occurred on board the Saviz vessel as a result of an explosive device embedded in its hull. According to initial information, the incident took place in the area between the coasts of Yemen and Eritrea. There is no confirmation from the country’s official authorities yet. There are no data on the dead and injured, as well as on the condition of the vessel.

According to the newspaper, the vessel Saviz has been cruising in the Red Sea for several years. It is used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to escort merchant and cargo ships.
