Iran Threatens Israel For Disrupting Nuclear Program

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Iran threaten Israel because the country continues to interfere with Tehran’s nuclear program.

“We warn the Zionist regime against any miscalculation or military activity targeting Iran and its nuclear program,” Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations Majid Takht Ravanchi wrote in a letter published by the Tasnim news agency.

Ravanchi accused Israel of frequently carrying out provocative actions against Tehran. He also considered Israel’s threats to his country to prove Tel Aviv was responsible for the terror attacks on Tehran’s nuclear program in the past AFP.

Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid said that Israel had the right to use force to prevent Iran from producing nuclear weapons.

Lapid also emphasizes the use of vital force to protect the world from evil.

This statement comes amid talks on the Iran nuclear deal with major powers which had dimmed when former United States President Donald Trump withdrew in 2018.

The current US president, Joe Biden, is showing interest in re-enacting the nuclear deal.

This agreement requires Iran to reduce its nuclear power in exchange for easing international sanctions from the West.

Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett was rumored to be flying to Sochi, Russia, to discuss Iran’s nuclear program with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Bennett himself strongly opposes Iran’s possession of nuclear weapons. He considered Iran’s nuclear program violated all the restrictions made to prevent the manufacture of weapons.

Meanwhile, Iran says its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.

Iran and several countries, including the US, signed the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) deal in 2015. This agreement places significant restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief for the country.
