IPhone A19 Pro Performance: Benchmarks & Initial Tests

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

AppleS A19 pro Chip Demonstrates performance Gains in Early iPhone Air ‍Benchmarks

Barcelona, Spain – ‍Initial benchmark tests of Apple’s new ⁤A19 Pro chip, ⁣debuting in the ‌recently announced‌ iPhone Air, reveal ⁣notable performance⁢ improvements over its predecessor, the A18 Pro. The chip’s capabilities were showcased alongside the launch⁤ of the iPhone 17 series, iPhone Air, and updated AirPods Pro and Apple Watch models.

The A19 Pro powers both the ‍iPhone Air and the ⁢Pro models, differing slightly in ⁢GPU configuration. Early data indicates a 15% increase⁤ in multicore performance compared to the A18 Pro, with more modest⁢ gains in ‍single-core tests. The iPhone Air utilizes a 5-core GPU, compared to the 6-core GPU found in‍ the iPhone 17 Pro, ‌resulting in⁤ slightly reduced graphic performance in⁢ certain tests.

According to published results, the ⁣iPhone Air ⁤achieved 9,497 points in geekbench 6 multicore tests and 4,211 points in 3DMark Wild Life Extreme. this surpasses the iPhone 16 Pro in CPU performance, ⁣despite some graphical limitations. The device also scored over ‌2,09 million points in Antutu ⁤10, marking a ‍substantial enhancement over both ⁤the A18‍ Pro and the A18 found in ‌the iPhone 16 Plus.

Beyond ⁤raw power, the A19 Pro incorporates enhancements to artificial intelligence processing. Each GPU core ⁣includes neuronal accelerators, enabling ‌more on-device processing and ⁤reducing reliance⁣ on Apple’s servers for tasks like computational photography and machine learning applications – a key component⁢ of Apple Intelligence.

Further testing is planned⁤ to assess the chip’s efficiency and sustained⁣ performance under prolonged use,‌ especially given the iPhone Air’s thinner design.

Key Benchmark Results:

* ⁢ GeekBench 6 Multi-core: 9,497 points
* geekbench 6 Single-core: 4,211 points
* Antutu 10: ⁤ 2,095,675 points
*  3DMark Wild Life Extreme: 4,211 points
* 3DMark Solar bay: ‍ slightly exceeds A18 Pro performance.
