iPhone 17 Color Palette Leaked: New Hues for 2025 Models Emerge
Exclusive Details Reveal Fresh Options for Standard and Pro Lines
Anticipation for Apple’s next iPhone generation is building, with new leaks shedding light on the anticipated color choices for the iPhone 17 lineup. Rumors suggest a range of vibrant and sophisticated shades will debut alongside the updated devices, aiming to refresh the brand’s aesthetic.
New Shades for iPhone 17 and 17 Air
Sources close to the matter have provided insights into the color palette for the standard iPhone 17 and the upcoming ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air. The base iPhone 17 is expected to feature Black and White, mirroring the current iPhone 16. However, exciting additions include a “Steel Gray” (Pantone 18-4005-TPG), a new Green (PANTONE 2282 U), a Violet (Pantone 530 U), and a Light Blue (pants 658 u).
The iPhone 17 Air will offer a slightly different selection, including Black and a brighter, cooler White than its predecessor. It is also slated for a “Light Blue” (move 657 u) and a “Light Gold” (Pantone 11-0604 TPG Gardenia). This distinction aims to highlight the Air model’s lighter profile, which is rumored to weigh around 145 grams and measure a slim 5.5mm. The light blue for the Air is expected to echo the popular shade seen on the MacBook Air M4.

Pro Models to Feature Bold New Tones
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are also set to receive a color refresh. Leaks from reliable sources indicate the Pro models will retain Black and White options. Joining them will be a new Gray, described as similar to “Titan Nature,” a “Dark Blue” (Pantone 19-4025 TPG Mood Indigo), and a striking “Orange” (Pantone 1501243 TCX Papaya). The dark blue is expected to be reminiscent of the “Titan Blue” found on the iPhone 15 Pro. This shift might be influenced by Apple’s potential move from titanium to aluminum for the Pro models’ frames, impacting how colors appear.
Innovation Beyond Color
Beyond the visual updates, the iPhone 17 series is expected to bring significant internal upgrades. Industry analysts predict the inclusion of the A19 chip, a notable 12GB of RAM for the Pro variants, and an expanded display for the standard models. The ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air is poised to replace the iPhone 16 Plus. Furthermore, a redesigned camera bump, larger and extending across the rear, is also rumored. In 2023, the smartphone industry saw global shipments reach over 1.17 billion units, indicating a strong consumer appetite for new device releases (Counterpoint Research).
