iOS 26.2 Beta Reveals Direct ‘Invites’ App Launch from Share Sheet
Apple is streamlining event creation with a new integration in the iOS 26.2 beta.Users can now directly open the Apple invites app from the iOS share sheet, launching immediately to the event creation screen. This update simplifies the process of building and distributing invitations, offering a quicker alternative to navigating through the Apple Invites app separately.
the forthcoming feature, currently available to beta testers, aims to reduce friction for frequent Apple Invites users. While the “New Event” screen currently appears blank, developers anticipate that iOS 26.2 will automatically populate date and time fields, further accelerating event setup. This enhancement builds upon Apple’s recent push to integrate its dedicated invites platform more seamlessly into the broader iOS ecosystem.
Apple invites, launched in 2023,allows users to create and share events with custom designs and RSVP tracking. Creating events requires an iCloud+ or Apple One subscription, while responding to invites is free for all users. The app is available for download on the App store.
Users interested in testing the feature can enroll in the Apple Beta Software Program. The public release of iOS 26.2 is expected in the coming weeks.
