Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – A report states that Apple will not deliver the latest iOS 15 operating system updates on the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, and iPhone SE (first generation). The new OS is expected to ship in 2021.
This is a report from Israeli media The Verifier and quoted by CNBC Indonesia from Apple Insider, Monday (23/11/2020). The report stated that the last update for the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone SE was iOS 14.
Apple’s decision to support or not support the operating system software usually lies in the processor used by the iPhone. This old Apple smartphone happens to be the first generation of the A9 chipset.
The Verifier doesn’t have a long track record of unveiling Apple’s latest updates. However, the Israeli media is quite accurate in guessing which device is on the iOS 14 update before being introduced at this year’s WWDC event.
iOS 14 was just launched in mid-September 2020 to iPhone users. Apple calls this the biggest update the company has ever made.
In iOS 14 there will be changes to the Home Screen display with a beautiful redesign of widgets and the App Library, a new way to tap the App Store with App Clips and many more.
