iOS 14: still the notification bug for messages

There is a bug that still exists with iOS 14: the lack of notifications when receiving new messages. We had already mentioned this problem a few weeks ago. Apple has since released iOS updates and nothing has changed.

Users complain about missing notifications for messages all over the place. There are testimonials on Apple forums, on Reddit and even … on TikTok.

Comments on the bug are similar: since the upgrade to iOS 14, the iPhone no longer alerts the user when a message has been received. It is only by opening the Messages application that the user notices that he has received an SMS or iMessage from one of his contacts.

Apple a sorti iOS 14.2.1 last month, only for iPhone 12. This update corrects a bug with notifications for messages. But this problem looks different from the one that plagues users with other iPhone models running iOS 14.

There is bad news in this case. Apple proposed iOS 14.3 release candidate for public developers and testers, before the final version will be available tomorrow. And it turns out that the testers still have the bug, according to The Verge. It’s hard to know what’s stuck at the moment. Apple is not commenting publicly on the matter.
