IOS 14.3 Update Released with ProRAW Support and New Fitness Plus Subscription Service

Apple has released a new version of the mobile operating system iOS 14.3. It brought the owners of iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max smartphones support for the new ProRAW format, which was promised at the time of the announcement of these devices. Recall that the Apple ProRAW format is designed to combine the capabilities of the uncompressed RAW format with Apple’s computer photography technologies. The company says the user will have more control over color, detail and dynamic range when processing Apple ProRAW images directly on the iPhone. For iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max smartphones, you can work with ProRAW in the Camera and Photos apps.

Other highlights from the iOS 14.3 update include improved search for the Apple TV app, support for the recently announced AirPods Max and the new Fitness Plus service.

Fitness Plus offers many different workouts with a mentor. The service is paid. Its cost is $ 9.99 per month or $ 79.99 per year. At launch, there are 10 workout categories available, including intense interval training, strength training, yoga, dancing, cycling, treadmill exercise (both running and walking), rowing, and more. For Fitness Plus, you will need at least an Apple Watch Series 3 (or later) smartwatch with watchOS 7.2, connected to an iPhone 6S (or later) smartphone with iOS 14.3. If the user wants to watch videos with exercises on the big screen, then in addition, you will need to have an iPad or Apple TV with updates to the iOS 14.3 or tvOS 14.3 operating systems, respectively. Fitness Plus is accessed through a new tab in the Fitness app. Existing Apple Watch owners are provided with test access to the service for one month, and buyers of new watches will have access to 3 months of free access. The Fitness Plus subscription can be split up to 6 users through the Family Sharing service. Also included in the Apple One Premier plan (includes Apple Music, Apple TV Plus, Apple Arcade, Apple News Plus, 2TB iCloud storage for $ 29.95 per month).

The iOS 14.3 update also added hundreds of new animal sounds, instruments, and vehicles to Siri’s voice assistant. Using the HomePod, iPhone or iPad, you can ask Siri what sound a humpback whale is making, and you can hear the result immediately. On the iPhone or iPad, you can also see the visualization that will accompany the sound.

The iOS 14.3 update also fixes some known bugs. For example, the problem with the lack of notification of new incoming messages for some users has been fixed.

Additionally, iOS 14.3 also makes it easy to customize app icons, adds 25fps video recording, offers a new Apple TV Plus tab, adds mirroring for the front camera, and a new Cycle Tracking feature in the Health app.
