Ortiz de Montellano indicated that this initiative, announced by Governor Wanda Vázquez, “arms future university students with the necessary technology to study under any scenario.”

To get their vouchers, which are valid until October 31, high school graduates who are enrolled in a postsecondary institution must claim them in the Unified Internal Revenue System (SURI) of the Department of the Treasury.

At the time of redeeming them, the executive reported that those under 21 must go with their father, mother or person in charge to Claro stores, with an official identification with a photo and the evidence that they have uploaded to SURI to obtain the receipt, as proof of having graduated from the fourth year and having been admitted to a university.

Ortiz de Montellano highlighted that, as Claro provides both mobile and fixed internet, the client can purchase plans for one type of connection or for both, depending on the need at home.
