Investigating suspicious deaths in Bergen – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

The police were notified of the death just after 6.30 pm on Tuesday.

The man in his 30s was found dead in an apartment in the district of Laksevåg in Bergen.

The death is considered suspicious, and an investigation has been started, the West police district states in a press release on Tuesday night.

Police are on the scene with more resources and forensic investigators have recently arrived at the scene, writes operations manager Jørgen Ommedal at the West police district.

Preliminary interrogation of the deceased’s closest circle of friends and family has begun. Police are planning a survey in the neighborhood Tuesday night.

– We currently do not know anything about the course of events prior to the report to the police, but have launched an investigation into suspicious deaths.
