SPÖ boss Pamela Rendi-Wagner talks about her mistakes in an interview. One of them: not having asked the question of trust at the beginning.
“Intrigue on the agenda”
First of all: Rendi-Wagner still does not want to set a numerical goal for their question of trust. It stays hard there.
She is also tough on the current state of the party – she wants to change that with the member survey and ensure unity again. At the moment – and for several years now – “intrigue and self-harm are unfortunately on the agenda”.
Rendi-Wagner is fed up
The solidarity within the party also leaves something to be desired, since the boss does not speak out. One mistake she probably made: “Not having carried out the member survey right at the beginning of my term as chairwoman.”
Criticism of the party leader, the party leader, that has “unfortunately our system”. Rendi-Wagner does not want to think that it could end up like its predecessor Werner Faymann. She has a different understanding of politics: “I don’t care if knives are thrown somewhere in a back room. I’m so fed up with this gibberish and these ego games.”
Despite all this, Rendi-Wagner assumes that all country heads of the SPÖ will express their trust. The SPÖ announced the results of the member survey in mid-April.
