As part of the Japanese online indie festival BitSummit Gaiden announced the developer Inti Creates Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 for Nintendo Switch. Because the work is latest Gunvolt-Only starting offsets, the team has yet to set a release period.
As with previous offshoots in the series, the same applies to Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 a 2D side scrolling action game. It becomes “true blue successor” too Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 described. Keiji Inafune, the CCO of LEVEL5 comcept is pleased that the series is returning four years after the last main branch. Inafune has worked with Inti Creates from the beginning and acted as an action supervisor. He will take on this role again for Gunvolt 3 and shape the action-packed gameplay together with the director Yoshihisa Tsuda.
In Gunvolt 3 will debut a new playable character named Kirin, who is a shrine virgin. With her septimal powers, she is able to seal the abilities of others. In addition, Kirin makes use of a unique fighting style in which enchanted talismans are combined with a sword made from a pewter stick.
