Lieven Annemans (56), health economist at Ghent University and VUB, has been under heavy fire over the past ten days. He is said to have denied the existence of a second wave and also questioned a number of corona measures. Some fellow scientists blamed him for this. “Apparently I have been misunderstood,” he says now. “I should have explained it better.”
