Astronauts on missions on the International Space Station (ISS) decided to show their privileged view of nights on Earth, in photographs that highlight the traces of light over major cities on the planet.
“The Earth’s horizon at night is surrounded by atmospheric luminescence, surrounded by stars, in these images taken at the station,” highlighted ISS on Twitter.
Records shared in an album on social networks The station and NASA (National Administration of Aeronautics and Space) were made in August and September this year. Some are credited to members of Expedition 65, a mission of the North American agency present on the ISS since April and which has already captured other landmark moments on Earth, like Hurricane Ida seen from space.
