Internal conflicts are settled by the mechanisms contemplated in the Constitution of the Republic – Vice Presidency of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

Delcy Rodríguez: Internal conflicts are settled by the mechanisms contemplated in the Constitution of the Republic

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, asserted that the elections held on December 6 were a lesson in democracy and resistance to the criminal blockade imposed by the United States and that the Venezuelan people came out to exercise their right to vote, demonstrating that internal conflicts in the country are resolved through the ways of the Constitution.

“This is a full reflection of the spirit of the Venezuelan people, that differences must be settled by the paths that are contemplated in our Constitution and voting is a path, and parliament is a space for political dialogue, as well as a space for serve the population ”, as stated by the Vice President, during an interview with the journalist Breno Altman on the Opera Mundi website, in the 20 Minutes Special space.

In this sense, Rodríguez stressed that it has not been just any parliamentary election, because these elections cannot be measured with the rest of the world, because they do not meet the same parameters of economic fences.

“Unlike those countries that are not in this situation, this parliamentary election is a heroic lesson, where the Venezuelan people had to tow away the difficulties of the blockade, a blockade that was expressed in the difficulties for fuel, which undoubtedly impacted the mobility of the population, there was undoubtedly an influence at the time of exercising the right to vote ”, he pointed out.

Therefore, he affirmed that the Venezuelan people demonstrated that the Bolivarian Government guarantees them not only the right to vote, but all their rights as citizens.

“But what is important, and that is where I highlight, is the will of the people of Venezuela who, above any difficulty, above any obstacle, exercise their sacred right to vote, in a scenario where we are consolidating democracy. We know that democracy is not only about voting, democracy in a broad sense, it is all rights for everyone, that is democracy, ”he stressed.

Extremist opposition called for abstention

“The extremist Venezuelan opposition called for abstention, following in the footsteps of Washington’s allied governments, the Lima Cartel, who called for abstention in Venezuela, but they did not achieve their objective because the people went out to vote despite the difficulties” This was stated by Vice President Rodríguez.

He pointed out that the representatives of the extreme right act in an illogical way, because they call for abstention and then complain about the low turnout in the elections.

“That is why this election was a heroic election, carried out in the worst difficulties because the enemy’s plan and the international community should know it, was to leave Venezuela without gasoline,” he reported.

Referring to the participation of the people in the elections, he indicated that: “We consider that the processes for the election of parliament, normally in Venezuela have less participation than the elections for mayors or presidential elections.”

He also stressed that in Venezuela voting is not a duty, but a right where Venezuelans can go out to vote if they wish.

The vice president congratulated the Venezuelan people for having removed from parliament those who called for the country’s intervention, “those who promoted cruel sanctions, against women, children and against our elderly.”

Finally, he stressed that the Venezuelan people are activated in the defense of their model, “a model that showed the whole world that if there was an alternative option to the capitalist system and during the pandemic Venezuela, it ratified that this model is a closer model to the human being, where people have the right to free and universal access to health, for the protection and defense of life, “he said.
