Suara.com – The police arrested Arif (31), a lecturer at one of the Health Campuses in the City of Bima, a resident of Maria Utara Hamlet, Maria Village, Wawo District, Bima for being involved in homicides.
The victim who was the target of the murder was a student named Intan Muliatyati (25) who was none other than her lover.
Quoted Suara.com from Sinarlampung.coOn Thursday (6/8/2020), the motive behind the murder was because the suspect was burning with jealousy because the victim was about to marry another man. In fact, the two have been in a relationship for four years.
Another factor was that the lecturer was determined to kill because he was disappointed when his family rejected him when he proposed.
“So, between the victim and the suspect there is a special relationship, have been dating, it’s been a while, and then the suspect is proposing the victim, but the parents of the proposal victim are rejected,” said KBP Bima Police Chief Harya Tejo Wicaksono.
Chronology of the killings occurred on Wednesday (05/08/2020) yesterday. Initially the victim took her mother to the Amahami Market, in Dara Urban Village, Bima City to sell.
Around 08.40 Wita victim asked permission from her mother to return to her house in Sabali Neighborhood Kumbe Village Rasanae East District Bima City.
On the way home, on Jalan Raya Gunung Raja, Kelurahan Dara, Kecamatan Rasanae Timur Kota Bima Korban was stopped by the perpetrator, who apparently had been following the victim from Pasar Amahami Kota Bima.
During the meeting the victim and the perpetrator quarreled, until the perpetrator pulled out a knife and injured the victim.
Seeing the victim fall and get injured, the perpetrator immediately escaped.
“The incident occurred when the victim had just returned from the market, then stopped by the suspect, then they chatted so that there was a tussle then stabbed the victim,” he said.
The people who saw the incident then helped the victim and took her to Bima District Hospital, to get treatment. But arrived at Bima District Hospital the victim was helpless and declared dead.
“The perpetrator persecuted by stabbing several parts of the victim’s body using a sharp weapon until he died when he was rushed to the City Hospital of Bima due to loss of blood,” he said.
The case was revealed after the police investigated the case report and arrested Arif. In the disclosure of this case, the police also confiscated a number of items of evidence in the form of a knife, a gray jacket, a black bag, a black wallet that the perpetrator had thrown away.
“We have secured the perpetrators, and are being processed by Article 338 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison,” he said.
