Achraf Hakimi (22) has only been playing for Inter Milan since last summer, but according to “Gazzetta dello Sport” he should be on the cross-off list again!
But that shouldn’t happen entirely voluntarily. The Corona crisis is forcing Inter to take tough austerity measures, the top club will not be able to make any big leaps after the season and will have to go the other way and sell professionals.
In addition to Hakimi, Aleksandar Kolarov (35), Ashley Young (35), Danilo D’Ambrosio (32) and Matteo Darmian (31) should also be on the strike list. The big difference: Hakimi’s contract runs until 2025, with the aforementioned quartet of old stars the contracts only run until the end of the season.
An extension is apparently out of the question, precisely because Inter could save a lot of salary with it. At Hakimi, the Lombards are hoping for a substantial transfer fee.
The ex-Dortmund, who moved from Real Madrid to BVB in 2018, played in all 20 league games for Inter this season, scoring six goals and preparing four goals.
There should be interest in the right-back from the Premier League. The “Sun” writes that three clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal and League Primus Manchester City, have their eyes on the 31-time Moroccan national player.
