Inter, from complaints to successes: 5 reasons why Allegri is better than Conte | First page

If you were an Inter fan, regardless of the victory over Getafe and what will happen in the Europa League, in the next season I would like to see Allegri instead of Conte, for at least five reasons.

First of all, why Conte exaggerated, and therefore also tired, with his complaints in general and with its accusations against society in particular. If you could, at least in part, understand in the past, especially when you vented immediately after losing an important game in Dortmund, this time it cannot be justified because he complained after the convincing victory in Bergamo that gave Inter second place. I don’t think, therefore, looking back on the numerous and controversial divorces in his career as a coach, that in case he remains he will stop complaining in the future.

It is much more probable, however, that Conte, being a repeat offender, feeds new and dangerous tensions in the environment between the club and the team, leading to the definitive breakdown. The memory of how much is still fresh it happened in the summer of 2014, when Conte left Juventus, in pre-season retirement for two days, due to disagreements with the company after the market closed. In the history of football, not only of Juventus, there is no precedent for a coach who leaves the club during the summer retreat of his choice, if not the opposite.

And then, just looking back to six years ago, here it is the second reason so I am in favor of the arrival of Allegri who already replaced Conte at the time, according to which you could not enter a one hundred euro restaurant with ten euro in your pocket. With that same team that he had not built, without Cuadrado that Conte considered indispensable, Allegri won immediately in Italy and in Europe: five championships in five years but above all two Champions League finals in which Juventus had to bow only to two great opponents, Messi’s Barcelona and Ronaldo’s Real Madrid.

And basically this European performance represents the third reason why Allegri could do better than Conte also at Inter. It is no coincidence, in fact, between Juventus and Chelsea, Conte never made it to a European final and this year he went out immediately to the Champions League groups, getting back in Barcelona and above all in Dortmund where Inter was winning 2-0.

The fourth reason is related to Allegri’s best character, who is neither an integralist nor a centralizer like Sacchi and Conte himself, because he has Lippi’s tactical eclecticism, Ancelotti’s balance and Capello’s good sense. And just like Capello, who with the same team judged by Sacchi at the end of the cycle won three consecutive league titles with Milan, with the Champions League double in 1994, Allegri could do better than Conte because he does not lack experience and above all he does not lack the ability to communicate both with the champions and with the managers, without pretending to be the father-master.

And finally, there is a reason-hope why Allegri could set a record, obviously to be shared with Inter, because he could be the first manager capable of winning at the head of the three “big” players of our football, after the scudetto to Milan and the five to Juventus. In the recent past, Zaccheroni, Italian champion only with AC Milan, had tried in vain before moving on to Inter and Juventus. And above all he had tried Trapattoni, who had made his debut on the bench at Milan but without winning, and then celebrated six league titles at Juventus and one at Inter, with the same Milan-Juventus-Inter sequence, now within Allegri’s reach. And so, if history repeats itself, also thinking about the Conte-Allegri relay at Juventus, the Nerazzurri fans will see some good ones.
