While Acer recently announced a version of his new Swift 5 which should be equipped with an 11th generation Intel processor Tiger Lake, now Lenovo is missing a video presentation of its next ultraportable: the Lenovo Yoga Carbon. The latter will not exceed 14.25 mm thick, for 995 grams according to information leaked, and will also sport a Tiger Lake processor. A chip which should allow it to enjoy a generous autonomy, announced at a maximum of 16 hours thanks to a 50 Wh battery. It’s more than most ultraportables today, even if some models already announce a close endurance (at least on paper) for 22 hours.

A processor not yet presented by Intel

According to NoteBookCheck, the Yoga Carbon could be equipped with a Core i7-1165G7 (the successor to the current Core i7-1065G7 “Ice Lake”), which has not yet been presented by Intel. What suggest that the launch of this new ultraportable is not yet fully in sight. Intel will first have to present its 11th generation of low-power processors in detail before Lenovo can introduce its new Yoga Book to the market.

The latter would be anyway equipped with a 13.3 inch 16:10 panel for a QHD definition (2560 by 1600 pixels). In terms of colorimetry, the manufacturer mentions 100% coverage of the sRGB space and also mentions Dolby Vision compatibility. We also learn that the device would benefit from a dissipation system linked to Intel Cooling Mode technology, which allows (once activated) “increase the autonomy of a PC dynamically… to monitor the thermal attributes of the device and better control its fan ».

The Yoga Carbon seems to be available in white and black and will be fitted with Dolby Atmos Harman-Kardon speakers. There should be a backlit keyboard, at least one USB-C port (potentially Thunderbolt 3) and a 3.5mm jack headset combo. As mentioned above, it is currently difficult to estimate an exit window for the device, the price of which also remains unknown for the time being. Given the technical sheet offered, a price higher than 1000 euros is nevertheless to be expected.
