During the’architecture day 2020, Intel presented us with new information on the Xe architecture, taking the opportunity to announce the arrival of a graphics card for the gaming in 2021.
Intel Xe HPG: the blue gaming architecture
Announced 2 years ago, the Xe architecture will begin its career on September 2 on Tiger Lake mobile processors with Xe-LP (low power). Until then, only three different micro-architectures were planned: Xe-LP, Xe-HP (high performance) et Xe-HPC (high performance computing). A fourth will therefore appear in 2021 for gamers, under the name Xe-HPG (high performance gaming).
Many thought that the first card gaming of the blues would be DG1. Why ? No doubt because of the different announcements and presentations of the card (in the form desktop elsewhere). However, it is now defined as a card ” content creator »And will be available only on laptop. The first graphics card gaming from Intel, will arrive in 2021. So a change of strategy or simply Intel’s desire to muddy the waters
