MENLO PARK – Instagram will display a caption on uploaded Stories. The caption will be available via a text sticker which will automatically transcribe the words in the video.

However, for now, new caption stickers will be available in English and English speaking countries. But in the end, the captions will be released in other languages and countries, as reported by The Verge, Kmais (6/5/2021)

Instagram says it will also start testing automated captions on Reel in the near future. READ ALSO – The Sate Cyanide Tragedy in Bantul, How Is The Poison So Deadly?

Previously, captions had been made available on IGTV and the Threads app, and Instagram said the reasons for adding the feature to Stories and Reels were to make them more efficient and inclusive to watch.

This feature is a great step for users who are deaf, hard of hearing, are not native English speakers, or just watch videos without sound.

Like the other text options in Stories, users can customize the style and color of text once it’s created. Users can also edit each word in the text to correct spelling, punctuation, or any words that were not transcribed accurately.

Automatic text rarely has perfect accuracy, especially for people with accents or atypical speech, so it is important to make these edits.

There is currently no option to highlighttext for better visual contrast, but users can use a drawing tool or a sticker behind the text to make it easier to see.
