The Instagram account (or TikTok, YouTube, Facebook & Co.) is not only an important communication platform today, but also an important source of information for many. Added to this is the commercial component for companies or influencers. Today, businesses also have to do social media marketing and influencers earn their income and wider reach through their account, as part of brand partnerships, etc.
The shock is even more profound when the account is blocked or hacked. Some of our customers have already faced this problem and have commissioned us to help them unblock their deactivated accounts after alleged terms of use violations or reset their login details and restore their old accounts after a hacker has obtained the ‘access.
In some cases we were able to activate or restore the account after out-of-court correspondence with Meta. With some of our customers, however, Meta had no effect or only very late, so the wait was no longer reasonable. In the case of the hacked account, especially since it can only be recovered within a short time before the data is irretrievably lost. But even with an account that was deactivated because there was an alleged violation of the terms of use, there is no reason to wait any longer to activate. In all cases, we were able to activate or restore the account at the latest through an injunction against Meta.
